Breaking News: Skeletonwitch Announce New Vocalist

Published: February 10, 2016

By now, you all know that the 2016 Decibel Tour will feature mighty Athens, OH death-thrash warriors Skeletonwitch as direct support. Until now, nobody has known the identity of the new vocalist replacing original frontman Chance Garnette, who parted ways with the band last year. We're pleased to help spoil one major element of the forthcoming April cover story on the 2016 Tour: Skeletonwitch's new vocalist is Adam Clemans, of Wolvhammer fame.

The band recently completed recording a new, as-yet-untitled EP, their first new material since 2013's Serpents Unleashed,  tentatively due out this summer. The EP was recorded last month with Kevin Bernsten at Baltimore's Developing Nations (Noisem, Magrudergrind, Mutilation Rites).

"We are extremely excited to announce Adam as the new singer for Skeletonwitch," says guitarist Scott Hedrick. "He's a killer vocalist, lyricist and all-around creative force. Please welcome him to the Skeletonwitch family as we begin this new chapter. As always, thanks to everyone who has, and continues to support us."

"I'm proud to be a part of the Skeletonwitch camp, and I'm very excited about how the new EP turned out," Clemans adds. "Working with like-minded musicians is always a pleasure, and I'm confident that the new chapter of this band will carry the Skeletonwitch banner properly and proudly."
