Nicki Minaj Decodes Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Endless Trolling: “You Gotta Be So Careful”

Published: August 18, 2018

Young Money’s Nicki Minaj is really here for Tekashi 6ix9ine despite all of his signature trolling. The hip-hop star has dished on how she really feels about her “FeFe” collaborator.

In a new interview, Minaj admitted Tek takes it a bit too far with his viral antics and wished people could see just how talented he really is.

“I don’t want people to think that that’s all he is, because it’s not. You gotta be so careful, because you get such short window of time to make that overall, first impression—before people in their head think they have you figured all out. I want people to see the good qualities in him.” (“The Whoolywood Shuffle”)

Recently, Tek and Nicki’s “FeFe” smash hit platinum status.

Earlier this month, Minaj shared an insane story about how “FeFe” involvement came together.

Recently, Tek took a minute to acknowledge how mainstream he’s become over the past few months.

“Yo I’m really the hottest artist in the f*cking America right now. Three days. 36 million views. Number one. Apple. Number one. Everywhere. Everywhere we number one. It’s f*cking Treyway. At this time I’m so happy. Shout-out to Nicki. Shout-out to Murda. I’m so happy I did this, this time, because I gave ’em so much time – ‘Gummo,’ by myself. ‘Kooda,’ by myself. ‘Billy,’ by myself. ‘Gotti,’ by myself. Straight Billboard hits by myself. ‘Tati,’ by myself. Now when I do a feature nobody can say, ‘Yo, it’s because of this person, because of that person,’ n*gga you seen me do it by myself for months.”
