J. Cole’s Insane KOD First-Week Projections Revealed

Dreamville boss J. Cole‘s new KOD will have no problem dominating its competition. The hip-hop star’s new solo album is expected to demolish atop the sales chart.

Based on initial estimates, Cole’s latest solo effort could sell around 400,000 copies in its first week.

J. Cole, who’s breaking all manner of streaming records, according to Spotify and Apple, is on track for a boffo chart bow this week.

After just its first 24 hours of availability, KOD helped J. Cole break a monster Apple Music record.

J. Cole’s fifth album, KOD, has broken Apple Music’s record for streams in the first 24 hours in the US with 64.5 million streams on its first day, Apple tells The Verge. KOD surpassed the previous record holder, Drake’s Views, by nearly 1 million streams. Seven out of the top 10 most streamed songs in a 24-hour period on Apple Music are now from KOD. (The Verge)

Over the weekend, hip-hop artist Fabolous and Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant dished on his new LP.

Last week, hip-hop veterans Nas and T.I. saluted the newly released KOD project.
