After its first week of availability, Nipsey’s Victory Lap album managed to snag a Top 5 debut on the music charts.
The powerful, Kendrick Lamar-helmed Black Panther soundtrack—spotlighted on Page 16 in this issue—spends its second week at #1 on the Top 50 Chart, moving nearly 125k via TDE/Aftermath/Interscope. That means it’s now approaching 300k. As for the debuts, Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap (Atlantic) and Brandi Carlile’s By the Way, I Forgive You (Low Country/Elektra) serve as the only new releases in the Top 50. They land at #4 and #5 with 47k+ and 38k+, respectively. (HITS Daily Double)
Over the past few days, various hip-hop studs from Rick Ross to Game have celebrated Nipsey’s new release.
