Crushingly heavy, intense yet musical, New Project's music is a combination of abrasive screaming vocals, keyboards, samples, electronic beat loops, pounding heavy rock drums, thundering bass and a truly massive distorted guitar sound. When fused together, they create a newer, more interesting breed of heavy music, delivered to the listener as a strapdown injection of raw, politically aware industrial metal.

Born in 2000, industrial metal band New Project were raised in Sydney. After working their way through the Australian alternative scene, in 2005 they relocated to London to spend the next 3 years raising their international profile.

By the second year of their UK stay, with the release of their 2006 “Primal.Logic.Slave.” EP, New Project were named as one of the UK’s top 6 hottest unsigned bands by Metal Hammer and were invited to play their stage at the NASS06 Festival. Later in the year the band performed at London’s Mean Fiddler for a show which was filmed and played regularly on TV in the UK.

2007 started with an Indy Music Award nomination and proceeded to be the busiest year to date which saw them play the biggest number of shows in one year and the completion of their much anticipated first full length album “Ultraviolent Light”. The album was released late 2007 to great reviews thanks in great part to producer Dan Turner (previously worked with Cradle of Filth, 3 Inches of Blood and Bullet For My Valentine). The album also features artwork by Paul Allender of Cradle Of Filth/Vomitorium fame.

"Cyberpunk – Zeus Mix" was chosen from the album material to be included on the Hungarian DVD special edition of the anime classic “Ghost In The Shell”.

New Project have shared the stage with the likes of Rose Tattoo, Skindred, 3 Inches of Blood, Sheep On Drugs, Panic Cell and groups featuring members of Pitchshifter, The Prodigy, Sikth, Cradle of Filth and Faith No More.

The band’s 5th video “Coma” (2008) continues to spread the group’s sound and dedication to their music. You have a choice - to listen, to rise up.or to be left behind.
