First came 'In Due Time' (debut album), than there was 'Green Heist
Vol. 1', 'Green Heist 2', 'The Antidote', 'Straight Piff
Vol. 1', and now there is 'Evolution'. Evolution is chronicles
the growth of NBS's ten year career from the fledging beginnings in 97 until now
through FREE 38 track mixtape, the release of this mixtape marks yet
another notch on the ever growing list of accomplishments (ranging from tours in
Africa to collaborating with Warner Brothers recording artist Gravy). NBS
and their management has chosen this to be a free cd in order to get the maximum
number of people familiar with the movement before the release of their
sophomore album.
While most mixtapes thrive on beat jacking, NBS managed to provide a mixtape
almost entirely featuring original production from a variety of talented up and
comers and industry vets including Dj Khalil (Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Tony Yayo,
Xzibit), J.Cardim (AZ, Saigon, Talib Kweli) , Cyrus Tha Great
(Royce Da 5’9”, Grafh, Little Brother), and MANY MORE. ”
