Nekos is a versatile, skilled emcee with a very commanding voice. His ability to capture an audience's attention and keep it, whether it is through a stereo, or a live performance, is a rare find in many of today's independent musical acts. Unlike many unsigned acts that get into the studio and simply rap, Nekos makes music.

Real name Dustin Lauzon, he was born on September 4th, 1984, and raised in Canada's southern-most city, Windsor, Ontario. His love for Hip-Hop lead him to start rapping at the age of 14, resorting to his PC to create low-quality recordings.

In 2001, at the age of 17, Nekos, and fellow Windsor emcee Profit (now Phokus), created a group named the Xplicit Elitez. Afterwards, J-Rize was added on and the trio was set to enter the studio and record their debut album.

In June of 2002, the Xplicit Elitez released a 17-track album entitled Verbal Warfare. The album created a buzz in Windsor's underground Hip-Hop community, selling roughly 300 copies, and landing a few live nightclub performances, as well as a number of radio appearances, including Kitchener Conestoga College's CJIQ, and University of Windsor's C-Jam.

Several months after Verbal Warfare was released, Nekos & J-Rize linked up with an independent label named R.A.W. Records. Almost immediately after, they began to record their follow-up album, this time only a duo.

The album, named Street Value, was a 16-track record, which included features from many of Windsor's finest young urban artists such as: Ms. Mee, Phokus, C-Note, Macilla, and label mates Bruce B., LeeRoc, and Smitty.

Street Value received an even better response than Verbal Warfare, so much so that after selling out, a Special Edition of the album had to be pressed and released to fill all requests. Selling roughly 500 copies of both versions combined, Street Value helped establish the names Nekos & J-Rize, as well as R.A.W. Records throughout southern Ontario.

Most recently, Nekos has released his solo-debut album entitled Breaking Point. It features such Windsor talent as label mates Bruce B., J-Rize, and Smitty, as well as the Lil' City Pros' Klutch. Breaking Point has received amazing feedback from fans and industry heads alike, and will without a doubt set the standard for Hip-Hop in Windsor, if not, all of Canada.
