We all started playing music in our early teen years in our home town of Rochester NY. John and Sam (brothers) set up shop in their parents' basement with a few old friends and called themselves "Down By One." They caught a few gigs at fire halls and school functions. Soon the two hooked up with "Truent," some guys from a neighboring town who played tribute music from many different bands, but specifically known to rock out to "Weezer." When high school ended, Truent tragically lost their lead singer Matt to the military causing the rest of the boys to break up. DB1 carried on playing at bigger venues and did well enough to open shows for Plain White T's, Unsung Zero, and Nobody Cares. Time went by and DB1 went through a couple band mates, and before long the navy boy returned as their new lead singer. With Matt's return we were on our way. We got a damn good bass player named "NICKY FRESH" or Nick. The band was all set with Nick on bass, Matt singing, John on drums, and Sam on guitar. NEAR FATAL FALL we are. With the new guys we went on to play shows with Finch, OK go, Bowling for Soup, sr71, and a shit load of other bands. NY was getting boring so we went to Charleston, SC. NY was fun and our home but we needed something new. Now in the south we played shows with Eleven 54, Between Home and Serenity, Handgun Sonata, Double 0, Avarice, The Hanks, Single File, DAMIERA, ASG, Hugh, Lewis Bryce and Agent Orange, Stretch Arm Strong, Casey Jones, The Hottness, and Evergreen Terrace. We are doing well, about to enter the studio to record a new Cd. That about sums up the story so far, but by no means is it even close to being over . . .
