Nausea begins on earlier 2001 in Santiago, Chile, from the restless mind of Roberto Fernandéz who projects his sound with a furious proposal that combines the most extreme denaturalized electronic music and over-the-top aggressive industrial sound. Nausea collects the exploration of the profound concept of “values” twisted by the human being, with clear foundation concepts and aesthetics linked to the work of bands such as Skinny Puppy, Laibach, Front Line Assembly and the disappeared Swamp Terrorists, and strong influences from all gestated psychological perversions created by human mind though all times.
The thematic of the compositions of Nausea go by the hand of nihilism, extreme sex, violence in every way and multiple passages of human dementia. All this concepts are approached with a negative and intolerant perspective, leaving aside any positive ways. This controversial essence is the band’s main proposal and one of their principal characteristics that makes them different from other bands in the gender and style.
After the editing of several primary demos and countless live presentations Nausea launches their debut album “Selfmutilation” on 2007, under the Chilean label Stigma Records, in this album they expose their classic, violent, elitist style with a sick journey through every song. The highlight of this album is the single “The Vermin”, song that was selected and published in several industrial electronic mixes. In 2009, the band edits "Consequences Of SelfMutilation (Remixes, Versions & Rare Noises)", an album full of remixes and new versions based on their debut album “Selfmutilation”. This album brings the entrance of Nausea to the Chilean label Orion Records that will increase internationalization for the band’s career.
Nowadays, Nausea is recording their third album “Beats of Opression” and its release date will be on April 2011 by Orion Records.
