N.A.S.T.Y

N.A.S.T.Y stands for Natural Artistic Sounds Touching You, a group formed in 1999 by DJ Marcus Nasty. N.A.S.T.Y started as a trio with Shark Major and Stormin reppin on the mic for Marcus as Mcs on underground station Flava fm and moving on to DeJaVue. Over the past 7 years N.A.S.T.Y have gone from strength to strength adding more members to the group and achieving a name brand on the underground circuit. There are now 14 members whom Dj, Mc, Rap & Produce music so the whole team is very much a joint effort and in house.



After gaining the title and hitting the press as one of the top Grime groups, N.AS.T.Y proved to stand out a little more than the rest by integrating all kinds of music with their Grime flow, hence the title Grime Artists, as they use their fast tempo style spittin on any kind of music production from UK Hip Hop, Grime to Indie & Rock, the guys have open views on all varieties of music, making them extremely versatile. We have performed at all the major UK Raves such as Sidewinder, La Cosa Nostra, Sun City, Garage Nation, Pure Silk, Spoilt for Choice, UMA Awards, Eskimo Dance, plus many, many more and each time NA.ST.Y have been the highlight of the event by hyping the crowd with their unique free flowing bars drawing for reload upon reload.



The first overseas tour was in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, 2003, where we had intended to stay for 2 weeks, yet due to our huge success out there, we extended their tickets for a further 3 weeks and continued to host the hottest nights on the island, including the busiest night of Napa 2003 Back2Napa hosted by Dilema, N.A.S.T.Y & ClubIce. We have also been to Amsterdam on numerous occasions performing live at different events, reppin N.A.S.T.Y to the full, taking over with our real lyrics and explosive sets, this enabled us to build a larger UK fan base and also achieve recognition in Europe.



Following our Ayia Napa tour and with members such as Kano and Ghetto pursuing their solo careers, it gave N.A.S.TY. the opportunity to introduce some of the younger and newer talent into their group as Marcus Nasty once stated "The team needs to be tight and if certain members dont contribute as much, on a team level then they dont belong as part of a team. We have made a few changes but change is all good as now my team is tight, we are like a big family and no-one can break the New N.A.S.T.Y." The guys whom started as a trio from East London had now expanded into a group of 14 multi talented artists from all across London, as quoted by Nasty Jack "We dont rep any ends, N.A.S.T.Y represents the UK."



N.A.S.T.Y started crossing mainstream Radio with guest shows on Radio One & 1Xtra, Choice fm, Kiss 100fm bringing them out of the underground scene and upgrading their profile. This lead to them working with artists such as Ms Dynamite, Agent X, Fire Camp, Da Vinche, Rossi B & Luca plus many more, collaborating on tracks that have made a great impact on the urban scene, which boosted N.A.S.T.Y and made them more determind to pursue their careers to the next level.



In Da Place released in 2005 was a major club hit along with all their previous tracks, but this was the first to have a video release. On Channel U it hit the Number One Hotspot and recreated a real Hype around N.A.S.T.Y. with live performances of this release up and down the country.



We have now finished our second video for our new track Girls Love N.A.S.T.Y; already being power played on Choice Fm, Radio 1Xtra and on Kiss 100. With the support and guest shows from commercial Radio Djs Cameo, Ras Kwame, Masterstepz & Logan Sama this is hailed as the best release yet to come from N.A.S.T.Y.



N.A.S.T.Y recently regrouped and reformed and founded a label by the name of N.A.S.T.Y UK - which will be used to relase the 1st album along with the mixtape and other solo projects from varoius artists. As well as Recruiting the most exiting and up coming MCs within the UK (K.A.S.T, Asher, Kasimo, Verbz etc.) to add to the already Strong team.
