They call me the reigning "Queen of Country in Memphis" (Memphis Magazine's City Guide) - I've also been called the "Princess of Twang" (Commercial Appeal).
I play drums, a Dukes of Hazard lunchbox snare, guitar, guit-jo, harmonica, accordion and mess around with the dulcimer. I have been nominated more than a dozen times in the songwriting, female vocalist and community service categories of the Premier Player Awards, and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition in 2002 and 2003. I've appeared in a few movies and videos with the likes of Harvey Keitel, Linda Gail Lewis and Bridget Fonda, at one time was endorsed by Gibson Guitars, played drums with bluesman great Willie Cobbs and a memorable stint as the Tennessee Triple Threat with Duane Jarvis (RIP) and Phil Lee. At one time or another I have sung backup on stage or in the studio with Todd Snider, Keith Sykes, Mark Lindsay, Reba Russell, Barbara Blue, Jay Ruffin, Wanda Jackson and Cory Branan and a few more. There have been times when cool people just jumped up and joined me on stage - like Carla Thomas and Teenie Hodges.
My fans know me as The Cadillac Cowgirl. I have been a deejay on WEVL in Memphis doing a Monday afternoon drive show (CarTunes) since 1996 and wear a lot of hats and have done a many odd jobs to keep groceries on the table. Some highlights include - animal caretaker at Memphis State for lab rats, monkey's and rabbits; singing tour guide showing off the Memphis music hot spots from Beale Street to Stax and Sun; production assistant and stage manager on the road for a number of bands - last year got to work with Bruce Springsteen on a couple shows backstage. I've been a reservation agent for Holiday Inn headquarters, have published my own music magazines, worked for a lot of various publications in Memphis writing or as art director or both. I've designed hundreds of album packages going back to vinyl days.
