Formed in 2001, the Pop Rivets are a Roanoke, VA based power trio. In January of 2005, TPR released their own self titled CD and a new CD is currently in the making and is due to be released this winter. Jason Hill (lead vocals and Guitar) Has played with The Son's Of Midas, Monobrau, CFD, and Multiple projects with Charlie Hamill. Brian Holt (Vocals, Bass, & Guitars) Has played with the Bob Hale Quartet, Bob Peckman Trio, Chris Shepard, Leggz, Gasoline Alley, Vintage Reign, Kevin Jones, Vegas singer Steve Lippia, Albert Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult, the Autumn Start, the Roanoke Jazz Orchestra, and mandolin virtuoso Jeff Midkiff. On Drums and percussion we have Mark Lynch . Mark has played with Barefoot West, The Fat Daddy Blues Band, 790 Robot Head. On a side Note, Brian and Mark also team up in MIND SPIN a tribute to 311.
The Pop Rivets have opened up shows for International acts such as The Pete Best Band From The UK. Pete was the original Drummer for the Beatles Circa 1961-1963. The Pop Rivets have also shared the stage with Southern Culture On The Skids, Cowboy Crush, and Holly Williams (Holly is the Grand daughter of Hank Williams and the Daughter of Hank Williams Jr. There are plans for the Pop Rivets to Open up for Cake in the Spring of 2010 so keep your fingers crossed. 2009 has been a great ride for the Pop Rivets and 2010 is looking to be even bigger with the much anticipated second CD Release. on a final note, We would like to give a standing ovation to our wonderful Family members and fanbase for which makes this all possible!
