Mz. Syk D was first introduced to rap at the age of 9 and ever since has worked her way up to prove what she can do. Being not only a female, but a white female played an important obstacle in her thrive for hip hop. At the age of 12, the young Californian began seeking help from what many would call the "wrong crowd" and as a result got into lots of life threatening situations. At the age of 14 Mz Syk D decided it was time to pull her act together and use her past experience as an outlet in her music. Although she had to deal with hate for years based only on appearance, Mz. Syk D benefited from this by working harder to make her lyrics stronger to impress, her delivery original and toned, and her flow consist ant and deadly. However, once again her terror came back to haunt her. A year later Syk found herself in more troubling situations which resulted back to her past lifestyle. After yet another hard year, the young artist grew into a young adult and sat back, looked over her life, and once more began filling the paper with punchlines. The Los Angeles native now tries to stay out of the troubled life and once more let all her feelings go. The outcome.what you hear from her today.
Studying the game, the art, and the culture not only hooked Syk into the bizz.but made her an original part of it. She is a prominent member of the underground on the Westcoast who is trying to resurrect to G-Funk style which has not been in the spot light since the late 90's.
Mz. Syk D has released one official mixtape called "Tha Bitch Next Door" which included her hit singles "Low Ridah" and "Ain't Gonna Like Me". She is scheduled to drop a second EP titled, "Westcoast 3024" in the next year. The femcee has appeared on many mixtapes such as L1 Entertainment's "F.A.M.E.", D-CoE's "The New Lyricist", Grimn's "You Ain't Safe", Arsenal's "The Wake Up Call", M-Tack's "Odd Cuzes", and much more. Mz. Syk D has performed regularly at coffee houses, clubs such as The Knitting Factory, and other arenas where she has attracted a ton of buzz along with a ton of fans. The "Queen of L.A." as well was featured on DJ Espee, the DJ of Black Wall Street's, radio show and was the winner of "The Unsigned Hype" award for best song of the week with a humongous lead voted by the people. Next year she will be appearing on a BLACK WALL STREET mixtape hosted by DJ Espee. As of now, Syk works with L1 Entertainment and a non-profit label she is helping create called Still Modest Recordz. She is hoping in the near future to move on to more mainstream labels and is currently working in many studios across the United States to promote her music. Listen while you can fellas, she isn't going to be underground for long!
