“scrubb” is the combination of two former music lovers “Muey” (Thawachpon) and “Ball” (Torpong). They mentioned that their songs were come out of everything around them and their lifestyle. It’s easy to understand, nothing complicated which like the name of the band “scrubb”. It is just a normal function of voice recorder that they’re both used when they’re working on underground project. But in this general name, there something familiar was hiding behind them. Just like most of their songs.

Biography



Not only being alumni of Silpakorn University that brought “Muey” and “Ball” together, but also they are both “music lover”. They used to be members of University International Music Group. Muey and Ball created their first album and sold their work as underground music. Each of them has his own part of responsibility. While Muey worked on lyrics and lead vocal, Ball took care of rhythm and music. They called this perfect combination as “Scrubb”.



“Scrubb” became more obvious when their single “Shoo…Beedoo…Beedub” was famous among the audiences of 104.5 Fat Radio. Then they were more well-known by the single “Roang Rien” which was a part of “A Day Record Part 1” project by A Day magazine. “Roang Rien” was one of outstanding indie songs from new-face bands, so “Scrubb” became a part of that album. It leaded “Scrubb” to be more popular among indie music community.



Because of their quality and outstanding work, they finally became the 4th artist of “Black Sheep”, an affiliated company of Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Their first album “Sss.ss” was launched, on the ground of course, in 2003. This album was produced by “Fun+” (Komol Boonpienpol) who is the winner of The Best Producer from Season Awards.



Their work was combined of new Brit Pop style and unique details in lyrics, so “Sssss.ss” met the beautiful success. Moreover, when the song “Took Yang” was requested by the listener again and again, it took “Scrubb” to the top chart and gained so many awards. By the request of their fans, they came back with their second album “Club” in 2 years after. Surely, they got warm welcome as the same.
