923/MURC UNIT

The Murc Unit Gang is over 100 strong spread through all four corners of St. Louis. The two founders of the Murc Unit Gang are Lo Lansky & 923. 923 a.k.a Nuchie Bravo, grew up in the infamous Laclede Town Houses in the early 80's till it was torn down for reconstruction in 1996. United with Lo Lansky in 1998, when Lo Lansky was released from prison. Lo Lansky originated the Darby Street Gang 4500 Darby Blocc NHGC in the early 90's. Since then, they formed 187 Click, which soon became the Murc Unit Gang when the two O.G. M.C.'s decided to stand alone apart from the other members of the 187 Click (not a departure from the click but a new branch that only included these two as the focal point of the new offspring.) Since 2001 the Murc Unit has performed on average 40 shows a year in the St. Louis area our larger shows are held @ The Pageant but we are known to hit the St. Louis icon Blueberry Hill a couple of times a month. Just to let the young M.C's in the L. know where they got their swagger from. We also have performed in Myrtle Beach 03 and 05 at the Black Bike Rally. As of June 2006 we have relocated our base of opperations to Thug's Mansion, Beverly Hills Ca. Joining forces with Candyman 187 and the Havenotz (Tupac's living legacy) Since this collaboration we have completed 923's solo album titled, "Beter Late Than Never". A follow up to his rare underground classic of 2001. As we roll into '07 with a new team as well as a new arsenal of beats and calculated word play. We look forward to performing in our new found west coast home. And we are no strangers to the college scene. With our own Aki. who in 01 left the camp on a solo mission to bring back industry knowledge to the team. When he went to FullSail to complete his Recording Arts Degree. During this time 923 and aK completed 2 albums, performed several shows which lit a fire upon aK's return to St. Louis at years end of '02. Our new web site is under construction and will be up in late March.
