Munnah puts her songwriting skills on display with concepts that are heavy with sexual overtones, but with a touch of romance on the side. She gives it to you straight, with no chaser, expressing life's experiences in ways that connect with you emotionally. As she emerged from the traumas of being a Liberian war refugee, her earliest material introduced her with a "bad girl attitude". Laden with sensual lyrics and smooth melodies, her music brought her fans from all parts of the urban experience. "My writing contains everything that I've gone through - and many people have shared the same experiences that I share through my music. That's why everyone can relate."Munnah has just the right formula to keep the fellas nodding their heads and the women yearning for more.
Munnah was born in Monrovia Liberia, raised in a troubled land, her nation that was spawned of free American slaves. As a child she witnessed a civil war torn Country, Poverty and even resided in a Ghanaian refugee camp for five years. One of eleven siblings, two came to America, Munnah in 1998. Munnah as a child even as young as five years of age, sought to be center of attention. She wrote her first song about her father's soccer team at the age of eight. The story of this Liberian/American dream is just beginning.
