MUNK is the project of MATHIAS MODICA.
Besides producing music and djing, Mathias runs Germany's GOMMA LABEL with his buddy JONAS IMBERY aka TELONIUS. The label of WhoMadeWho, Moulinex, Phenomenal Handclap Band and others.
Currently Mathias is living between Marseille and Berlin - finishing to record his third album with guest vocalists from New Young Pony Club, Koko from Napoo and others. (Album release in feb 2010).
Check out : LA MUSICA - the first new Munk single after more then two years - has been released in june 2010. and is becoming one of Gomma records biggest hits. The song gets great reactions. DJ's like Tim Sweeney, Erol Alkan, Luciano, Chloe, Ellen Alien, Annie Mac and Radio One are playing it. KITSUNE, BUGGED OUT and HED KANDI will rerelease it on compilations. Ed Banger boss BUSY P used it for his first Mix CD and - even Karl Lagerfeld loves La Musica and used it as a soundtrack for his first movie for Chanel. (good that he doesn't know that Mathias is definitly not a Chanel kind of boy. :)
