Munger

Ever since Munger has been making music they have been creating a name for themselves in the Chicago local scene. Composed of three members: J. Vocals/Guitar, Dublo Bass, Dave Alphonse on Drums.
They have participated in many area Battle of the Bands, Munger dominated the 2010 Battle at Reggie's Rock Club Downtown. With a growing fan base and recognition, they have played many popular Chicago venues including: The Cubby Bear North, Double Door, Elbo Room, Goose Island Brew Pub, and Reggie's Rock Club.
While Munger is recognized as an up and coming local Chicago band, they have opened for national acts including: Chevelle, Cold, P.O.D., Flaw, The Good Year Pimps, Diecast, and the Future Leaders of the World.
They continue to tour the city of Chicago and outlying suburbs. These shows exemplify Munger's mainstream appeal; they continue to draw a fan base from many musical genres. Although they may seem like your typical rock band, they are consistently striving to build on their strengths and improve upon their weaknesses. Their sound is neither full rock, not entirely metal, nor wholly alternative; they seem to meld all of these into one synchronous sound. They play whole sets unplugged better than most acoustically driven bands. Munger is a compilation of true musicians dedicated to the craft. Music is at the heart and soul of every member.
In a time when so many bands and songs seem to blend together in an amalgamation of overproduced sterotypes; Munger breaks the mold. The hook is the music plain and simple. Those who have an opportunity to listen to Munger will find that the experience resonates longer after the music has stopped.
