Mudcat "Whiskey" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 15, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
Hard to describe the energy field created when Danny Dudeck (aka Mudcat) performs, as is evidenced by this number performed live at Northside Tavern in Atlanta Georgia in May of 2010.
On stage he makes you comfortable, shmoozing on you like a good friend, entertaining you like a stand up comedian, and all the while playing serious guitar licks with believable vocals like he has no peers, nor cares if he does. A true pro.
The remaining elements of the band are all great musicians too, as comfortable with their instruments as if they were their favorite jammies. Eskil Wetterquist on drums, vocals and washboard(not here but ohyea!), Dave Roth singing back up and having a ball on bass, and Lil' Joe Burton on trombone and an excellent delivery of back up vocals as well.
Next up: some great stuff when Lori Beth Edgeman on vocals joins Danny, and later possibly Mikel K, if 'everybody works at Wal-Mart' (you had to have been there to get that).
This show is the first of any of my videos where the audio was recorded by someone else, in this case by Zachary Caplan at Big City Thinking, and I merely had to go in and tweak highs and lows, and get a little creative here and there, as in this song. Crank 'er up!
