Keylo-G started out at family reunions where he would rap in front of his family with little brothers and cousins, at age 11. He grew up with rap as an influential part of his life from its very inception as a credited musical genre. As the first groupsAfrika Bambaata, Sugarhill Gang, NWA were just beginning to make their mark. Growing up through the 80s, Keylo was most influenced by acts such as DJ Quick, Too Short, and Rakim. To hone his skills, Keylo began to practice rapping in the high school cafeteria with other Indianapolis artists such G-Stak and Kach-22. He built a solid local fan base and reputation from performing at shows in the Indy area. Then, it all happened as it was meant to be. Immediately after graduating from high school, Keylo got signed with one of the leading hip-hop record labels, House of Villains as part of the new group, N.A.P.



N.A.P.s songs quickly swept the Midwest and Dirty South. After appearing in Source magazine, the group made the 2 spot on the billboards second only to TuPac Shakur with the song Out Hustlinand all of this without the aid of nationwide exposure. But as the story goes, the group experienced internal problems and soon began to fall apart.



But our tale doesnt end thereKeylo-G was determined not to let the groups break-up ruin his dream of putting Indo-napolis, as he calls it, on the map. His first solo album, It Aint Where You From, sold close to 10,000 copies in Indianapolis alone. His style is versatile, exclusive, and uniqueadd to that an instantly captivating stage presence and personality. From the front stage to the back stage, fans say that he is definitely to be admired. He has performed major shows and tours with artists such as Master-P, Big Snoop Dogg, Mack-10, Ice-Cube, Mystikal, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Scarface, 3-6 Mafia with Project Pat, 8 Ball & MJG, C-Bo, Too Short, Ja Rule, Above the Law, Kokane, Fabulous, and Petey Pablothe list goes on and on. Through and through, Keylo is entertainment incarnate.



Keylo has his own record label titled Unkut Records. The first release from the Unkut labelMr. Unkut dropped in September of 2001 and sold over 10,000 copies. It featured artists such as Nappy citys own G-Stak, JimE Mac, Young Gunz, Dawg Life Family, and Keylo-Gs premier artist, A-1 Unkut.



At the current time, Keylo has teamed up with his brother/manager, DeWayne Boyd to start a new record label, Unkut/Real About Ent Keylo is also currently Pushin his new album, The Pusha Man, Which is Doing Very Good at the Moment with Over 7,700 copies Sold,(as of 8/8/06) this album feature's Some of Keylo's best work ever, with searing lyrics and scorching beats and hooks. His goal?--To continue to lock down the underground hip-hop world and eventually become a household name within the hip-hop world. Even though his musical past is already impressive, expect to see even more of Keylo-G and his daunting talent.
