NOTE: this is a fan profile not the real band’s profile.

Mr. Mister was a popular progressive rock and pop band that formed in 1982 and broke up in 1989. Richard Page and Steve George found the band "Pages" in the late 1970’s in Phoenix, Arizona. Their most popular tune was, "I Do Believe in You." Page and George later found Mr. Mister in 1982. The band’s first album was "I Wear the Face", which was released in 1984 under the RCA label. It was re-released on October 5, 1990. The album made it to the US Billboard and it only peaked at number 170. The album also contained the single, "Hunter of the Night" which peaked at number 57 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The next and most successful, well known album, "Welcome to the Real World" which was recorded from October of 1984 to April of 1985 and wasn’t released until seven months later on November 27, 1985. The album hit number 1 on the Billboard in the week of March 1, 1986 which was also when the single "Kyrie" hit number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (it stayed there two weeks). Welcome to the Real World made it up to number 6 in the UK. The first single from the album was "Broken Wings" which made it to number 1 in the US on December 7, 1985 and stayed at the top for two weeks. Later, "Is it Love?" made it to number 8 in the US and "Black to White" peaked at number 93 in Canada. The third and last released studio album, "Go On" was released on September 1, 1987. The album peaked at number 55 on the US Billboard. Go On featured two main singles, "Something Real (Inside Me/Inside You)," and "Healing Waters." Something Real" made it up to number 29 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100. "Healing Waters" did not make it on to any Billboard charts, it was released as a single in 1987 in Europe only. The fourth and final studio album, "Pull" was recorded in 1988 and 1989. This album is unreleased, but a second version can be found on melodicrock.com. Steve Farris is not on any of the tracks in this album because he quit the band in between the release of Go On and the recording of Pull. The only song that was officially released from this album is "Waiting in My Dreams" which can be found on the 2001, 12 track BMG collection entitled "The Best of Mr. Mister" and also on the 2002, 17 track BMG Japan release, which is also entitled, "The Best of Mr. Mister." In 1996 (after the band broken up in 1989) Richard Page released a solo album entitled "Shelter Me" which featured the singles, "The Best Thing" and "My Oxygen" (a cover/remake of the Nik Kershaw song). He has been a band member and many groups and also a background vocalist for other bands. Steve George was musical arranger for Kenny Loggins in the 1990s. More recently, he has toured with Jewel as her keyboardist. Steve Farris has played with many popular artists and now has an official website, stevefarris.com. Pat Mastelotto is now the drummer of a band called "King Crimson." Mr. Mister is one the the best synth rock bands in my opinion (Mike Sparks).
