On a summers day early 2004 a young rock band was formed amongst three best mates in a once quiet street north of Brisbane. With one poorly strung guitar, an out-of-tune bass, a scratchy old drum kit and a dream, Mr. Internationals was born. After a few short band rehearsals the lead singer of today, Brownie joined the threesome, and by the time all four members of the band had reached the age of 18, MRI had seen most of the east coast of Australia and played hundreds of shows.

In 2006 - 2007 MRI forged their way to the forefront of the Brisbane music scene playing shows at The Caxton Street Seafood Festival, Triple M (Aus stereo) Functions and recording the Debut E.P Love Aint Free in historic Level 7 (formerly 301 studios) in Sydney. During this time Mr. Internationals had the privilege of working with the likes of Daniel Jones (savage garden), DT Entertainment and Don Bartley.

A little while after the release of 'Love Aint Free' the band entered a new era when the band's two original guitarists and MRI decided to part ways. The band recruited two new guitarists with amazing musical talent and insight, Keno and Luke. These two brought a wealth of knowledge to the band enabling Jason, Scott and Brownie to stand back and “listen to the music”. What followed was a writing frenzy resulting in some of Mr Internationals best songs to date. The ‘new look’ Mr. Internationals again took to the Brisbane stage once more in July 2008 to a warming crowd at The Zoo, gaining rave reviews and the title of “ Brisbane’s very own sons of rock”.

Mr. Internationals is currently tracking songs for the bands Debut album to be released late 2008 with producer Jamie Sullivan. This will precede an early 2009 album tour of the Australian East Coast, promising to turn heads all over the world.

Recently quoted as 'The best band ever to play at the Jubilee Hotel', the five boys can presently be seen hitting venues around Brisbane and leaving crowds screaming for more. Girls dance along and guys hold your drinks high in salute to a band that is true to the roots of rock and roll.
