Taking-off as a project that fused airy and catchy tunes with downbeat grooves already 20 years ago, the path for the producers soon led to the isle of Ibiza. The identification with Café Del Mar came, when they had their first appearance on the popular Chill Out compilation-series with „Out Of Time". It was most of all the huge succcess of „More Than Ever People" feat. Cathy Batistessa that gained the project a massive recognition. This song has become a true hymn to the world of Chill Out sounds. The cooperation with classical piano player Friedrich Gulda demonstrates the musicianship in Levitation's compositions, which goes beyond the sound tapestry of lounge music. With „Essential Levitiation – 20 years of Ibiza Chill Out", Levitiation shows a bold catalogue of work that spans 20 years of creativity.
