A calling began in the hearts of brothers Lenwood and Sam Morris shortly after they converted to Christianity after being raised by their devout Buddhist mother. That calling lead them on a journey that, along with fellow vocalist Benjamin Pruett, ultimately led to the formation of Morris Trio.
Morris Trio has been influenced by a variety of artists from Journey to Newsong. Morris Trio is passionate about bringing an approach to their concerts that embodies not only their original songs but also a fresh and innovative Worship experience.
Lenwood was born in Beaufort, SC. The family moved to Aiken, SC when he was 9 years old. Gospel music has always been his passion and love, besides family and God! He handles most of the managing responsibilities for the group. He has been involved in Gospel music for many years, traveling profesionally with several artists. His testimony of how he was raised a Buddhist will touch your heart and challenge the believer.When at home, he serves as worship leader at Millbrook Baptist in Aiken, SC.
Sam was also born in Beaufort, SC, and is Lenwood's younger brother. He started singing when he was 3 years old with his family group, "The Morris Family." He now lives in North Augusta, SC. His rich baritone voice and stage presence will surely make you a fan the instant he starts to sing. He is involved in the music ministry at TrueNorth, where he attends in North Augusta, SC.
Benjamin lives in McDonough, GA, with his wife, Lori, and children, Emerson, Tyler, and Ella. After finishing his Master of Music degree from the University of Georgia, Benjamin taught voice and choir at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. In 2005, he became the lead singer of Morris Trio; and, while singing over 100 concerts a year with M3, earned several chart-topping radio singles, including "A Little Further Down the Road." Now, as the Pastor of Worship at Sharon Church, Benjamin is ready to begin the season God has in store for his life: lead people in worship in his own church and community and across the country.
