Moritz Mueller was born on Ferbuary 7 1985 in Germany where he grew up in a very musical environment. His father being a musician, the house was full of musical instruments. Moritz spent a lot of his time trying each one out. Soon he discovered the drumset. His first role model was the drummer in his father's band. Moritz spent hours in the rehearsal room watching him play.



At the Age of 15 he met Jim Evans, a very gifted American drummer who didn't live far away. Jim became his first professional teacher.

After finishing school in 2002 he then had lessons with Udo Dahmen. A year later, when he was 18, he moved to Mannheim to study at the PopAkademie.

In Mannheim he founded his Rockband Hesslers who played at the „Rock am Ring“ festival in 2007. In 2006 he became a member of the Jazzrockband Hotlips, founded by the dutch pianist Jasper van t'Hof.

Moritz has worked with a large number of other artists like Xavier Naidoo, Midge Ure, Haddaway, Jason Wright, The Weather Girls, Chic and many others.



In Dezember 2008 he went on a workshop tour through Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland with Dennis Chambers.



Moritz endorses Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, Evans Drumheads and Audix Microphones.
