Meet Moossa. A collection of like-minded vagabonds who
have been pouring their souls into their music since 2001. Moossa, based in Richmond, Virginia, has released their 4th
studio CD “Route 17” in May of 2008 and continues to bring to the table an ever
evolving mix of funk, folk, reggae, blues and rock. Moossa is critically acclaimed for their
well-rounded effort, both live and studio recorded. Their songs are laced with “…sun-splashed,
laid back reggae; back alley funk and subtle punk/soul grittier than a July
evening in Tulsa.” This
self-styled “working man’s band” has traveled more miles than
they can count to reach their audience, and every mile was
worth every smile and cheer they received.
When you’re following your dreams, you’ll go anywhere.
Be on the lookout for Moossa's 4th album, Route 17; tracks have already enjoyed radio play on WCVE Public Radio's "Out of the Blue Radio Review" and "The Electric Croud." Moossa was a part of the 2008 Friday Cheers lineup with Carbon Leaf and the 2008 Floyd
Fest. Moossa merch is now available at www.cafepress.com/moossa
