Monte

This young teenage phenomenon was born on May 26th in Lexington, NC as Monterrius Thomas. As Monte grew up to the age of 7, he first discovered R&B and Pop music when he first saw Michael Jackson on MTV. He saw the dance moves and how he sang the songs and decided he wanted to do what Michael was doing. As the days went on all he did was listen to Michael Jackson and pick up the dance moves like they were nothing to him at all. Monte was always known to be a quick learner. And as he began to discover this music he came to like artists such as Usher and Joe. He looked up to these artists and wanted to be just like them. As the years went on, in the year 1999 at the age of 8 he started to develop a unique singing voice like no other. His dancing was so smooth that nobody could tell him anything. The years went by in the year 2001 he started writing songs and poems to express how he felt. Out of this young life, this meant the most to him. He cherished these songs that he wrote. But he really didn't put the songs in effect until his freshman year in high school in the year of 2005. He had a dynamic microphone hooked up to his computer and made his first song called "We Gets Hype". That song became known around his school as he put it on myspace and began to attract fans. He came to make another hit song called "Young Thang". The song was talking about this girl he really liked in school. "I wrote that song about her because she was always messing with me and kept getting me all hyped up like she would go with me but never did," Monte said. That song became known around his school once again and he began to attract more fans. By the end of his freshman year he had made his first CD called "The Beginning", with such songs as "We Gets Hype", "Crush", and "Young Thang". In the year 2006 he met his first celebrity, Lloyd. He met him GA in the summer of 2006. At that point his main focus was to become a star. He looked up to Lloyd as one of his influences in the music industry. He continued to make songs and collab with other artists. In the beginning of 2007 he bought new equipment and became a new person. He found his style within him self and his music. January 5th, he made his first song in 6 months called "Superstar". It was a myspace hit. It gathered over 15,000 plays before he took it off and within that month had attracted over 1,000 fans. He was offered a deal with Indie labels such as MFL Records and Star Entertainment. "I wasn't ready,"he had stated. His voice was not the star quality to take on the objectives these labels had for him to do. This guy is going to be a phenomenon in the music business and has made his statement "I am taking over the R&B game no matter what". And that is exactly what this guy is doing.
