Montecristo naci? de un explosivo contraste de su madre San Diego, California, y su padre M?xico. Derivado de este mix en influencias, mentalidades, y ritmos, Montecristo es ahora responsable de un muy inovador estilo de rock alternativo en espa?ol. Formado de nueve elementos cuya firma es emitida por medio de trompetas, trombones, congas, guitarras el?ctricas, bajo, bater?a y voz, Montecristo te llena y hace bailar con su sonido ?nico que se deriva de ritmos prehisp?nicos, latinos, y afro-cubanos, con una gran influencia del blues, ska, reggae, y rock californiano.
Con tan solo unos a?os desde su nacimiento en 2007 y rompiendo las barreras de los generos musicales, Montecristo ha compartido y conquistado escenarios con diversos publicos y ya legendarios y reconocidos artistas como lo son Septacore, Pastilla, Allison, Motel, Maria Jose, Vilma Palma, Kalimba, Paty Cant?, Enanitos Verdes, Anahi, Belinda, Gloria Trevi, Cristian Castro, The Wailers, El Tri, Maldita Vecindad y en una reciente gira por los Estados Unidos con la leyenda del rock en Espa?ol Miguel Mateos.
En el Verano del a?o 2008 despu?s de un arduo trabajo constante de creatividad y grabaci?n, Montecristo da lanzamiento a su primera producci?n discogr?fica completamente independiente producida por los maestros Henry Guti?rrez y Andr?s Pel?ez (productores y co-productores de Laura Caro, Reik) y Co-producida por Emilio Conde (Canta/autor de Montecristo).
Fue evidente desde su lanzamiento que su ?lbum titulado "Brindis a la Vida" ten?a el ?ngel del ?xito. Despu?s de solo dos meses de su lanzamiento independiente y un tremendo ?xito a casa llena en su CD Release Party (San Diego, California), la distribuidora Select-O-Hits/VYJ2 (Miami/New Orleans) firma su nuevo disco haci?ndolo obtenible en todo Estados Unidos y Canad?. As? mismo, tomando por sorpresa los 'Indie Alternativo Latin Charts' llega al lugar numero cuatro y se mantiene ah? por 20 semanas consecutivas con su sencillo "Teresa"!!
Inmediatamente Montecristo da comienzo a su gira 2008-2009 en donde se cautivaron y se ganaron a su publico con tremendo ?xito en las ciudades de Chicago, Aurora, Waukegan, Phoenix, Vegas, San Francisco, San Jos?, Richmond, Ventura, Los ?ngeles y San Diego.
Actualmente Montecristo acaba de terminar su gira de Primavera 2010 en donde visitaron las ciudades de Sacramento, Richmond, San Jos?, San Francisco, Los ?ngeles, y San Diego, y esta a punto de comenzar su primera gira internacional visitando las ciudades de Hong Kong, Beijing y Guangzhou, China. Tambien alist?ndose para empezar su siguiente grabaci?n titulada "Reloaded", que se programa para principios del pr?ximo a?o, el esp?ritu de esta banda tiene solo dos propuestas: el de ganas inmensas de conquistar y prender nuevos escenarios, y el de un cari?o y amor perpetuo para su p?blico que d?a a d?a crece y los llena de m?s inspiraci?n.

Montecristo was born of an explosive contrast of its mother San Diego, California, and its father Mexico. Derived from this mix in influences, attitudes, and rhythms, Montecristo is now responsible for a very innovative style of Spanish alternative rock. Consisting of nine elements whose signature is issued by trumpets, trombones, congas, electric guitars, bass, drums and vocals, Montecristo fills you and makes you dance with a unique sound that derives from pre-Hispanic, Latin, and Afro-Cuban rhythms, with a great influence of blues, ska, reggae, and Californian rock.
With just a few years since its birth in 2007, and breaking the barriers of musical genres, Montecristo has conquered varied masses and has shared stages with many now legendary and renowned artists such as Septacore, Allison, Motel, Maria Jose, Vilma Palma, Kalimba, Paty Cantu, Enanitos Verdes, Anahi, Belinda, Gloria Trevi, Christian Castro, The Wailers, El Tri, Maldita Vecindad, and a recent U.S. tour with Spanish-rock legend Miguel Mateos.
In the summer of 2008, after constant hard work of creativity and recording, Montecristo launches its first completely independent album produced by Henry Gutierrez and Andr?s Pel?ez (programers, musicians and producers- Laura Caro, Reik), and co-produced by Emilio Conde (Singer/Songwriter of Montecristo).
It was evident since its launch that their album entitled "Brindis a la Vida (Toast to Life)" had the angel of success. After only 4 months of its independent release and a huge full-house success at the CD Release Party (San Diego, California), the distributor Select-O-Hits/VYJ2 (Miami / New Orleans) signs their new album making it now obtainable all throughout the U.S. and Canada. Along the same lines, taking by surprise the 'Latin Alternative Indie Charts', Montecristo arrives at number four and holds the position there for 20 consecutive weeks with their hit single "Teresa"!
Montecristo immediately begins it's tour 2008-2009 which captivated and won over audiences with tremendous success in the cities of Chicago, Aurora, Waukegan, Phoenix, Vegas, San Francisco, San Jose, Richmond, Ventura, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Currently Montecristo just completed its Spring 2010 tour where they visited the cities of Sacramento, Richmond, San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego and is on the way to his next first international one visiting the cities of Hong Kong, Beijing and Guangzhou, China. Also getting ready to begin their next recording titled "Reloaded" which is scheduled for early next year, the spirit of this band has only two proposals: the immense desire to conquer and capture new stages, and a perpetual love and affection for their public that grows daily and fills them with more inspiration.
