Monika Nordli is a singer-songwriter born and raised in the midlands of Norway - specifically Nissedal, Telemark. Aged 28, she is at the outset of a musical career spurred by the release of a highly acclaimed eclectic folk album.

Monika has previously been touring Norway and Europe as a featured artist accompanying the Irish singer-songwriter Daithi Rua, as well as writing songs for upcoming new talents. Currently she is back on tour promoting her debut album "Minor Mode". Monika writes her own songs that has earned her great reviews, locally and nationally as a composer as well as for her vocal skills.

Being a vital live performer and a proficient guitar player, Monika scores extra points for her genuinity and joi-de-vivre.

Minor Mode is Monika's debut album, characterised by the ambient melancholy of her voice and unique personal compositions. Stylistically she habitates the vicinity of Nanci Griffith and Allison Krauss. On this album she is collaborating with some of Norway's most acclaimed musicians - like Paal Flaata, Knut Hem, Svein Schulz, Øyvind Berekvam and Hilde Heltberg. The album is produced by Kai Løland and released under the Grammofon Label
