Monday's Fiction is a Toronto based band that hasn't slowed down since their beginning in 2008. Though they can sometimes be classified in the genre of pop rock, due to their extremely catchy melodies, there is certainly nothing generic about the songs they produce. Their first EP "Another Story" (2008) proved to listeners everywhere that they are not your run of the mill rock band. Their debut EP "Another Story" has really set a high standard for other bands to match in relation to texturing, locked in rhythms, tasteful guitar licks, and the sweetest melodies your ears have ever heard. Not only has "Another Story" served as an exemplary EP but also a guide on how to make a kick ass compilation of tunes.

The discipline, work ethic, and quality Monday's Fiction puts into their studio works can also be found in every other facet of the band, including their live performances. For the past three years they have been entertaining crowds in and out of Toronto. In Toronto you can hear Monday's Fiction at just about every rock landmark the city has to offer. They have headlined numerous shows at Revival, Mod Club, Horse Shoe Tavern, Rivoli, and the Opera House to name a few. During the summer months Monday's Fiction loves to hit the road to expand their ever growing fan base. They've rocked the Cutting Edge Music Festival (CEMF) two years in a row sharing the stage with Alexis on Fire, The Roots, ill Scarlet, Flatliners, and Stereos. A Monday's Fiction concert is an experience that can't fully be described. In the words of the wise Morpheus, "unfortunately no one can tell you what Monday's Fiction is. You have to hear it for yourself."

Monday's Fiction has recently finished recording their second EP, "The Way We Are." The album was released in late July, and expect nothing short of awesomeness! Their growth and versatility as songwriters is evident on this masterpiece. Arguably the best EP you are going to hear in a very long time. But hey who's arguing? The EP is for everyone! And I mean everyone. From their acoustic tear jerker "A Way Back Home" to the anthem "You and I." The texturing and instrumentation is original, diverse, and unprecedented thanks to the band's quirky producer Ruben Huizenga who has pushed Monday's Fiction to the apex of their capabilities as musicians and songwriters. The new EP is a testament to that. The Way We Are is available for purchase through iTunes and through almost all other online digital distribution etailers .

Be on the lookout for Monday's Fiction this summer 2011! You won't regret it.
