Gearing up to shop aggressively.
Every Sunday, in a estate mansion that was converted into a bed and breakfast in the early years of the 20th century, a lonely man in a wheelchair sets all the clocks to a specific time, a time wholly different from anything represented by the sun or moon outside.

He does a number of other things, tiny details like the burning of particular scents, the recitation of an old Egyptian text, and various almost anal retentive moving about of small objects into a very particular order.

He does this to recreate a day that happened several years prior.

And sure enough, guests wake up, spill out into the kitchen, and interact. They are all quite unusual people, so much so that they could almost be characters in an eccentric play. There is great tension to their interaction as they are all well aware of an army moving slowly towards them from miles away. They entire area has been waiting in nervous anxiety, wondering if the coming soldiers will pass through quickly, or bring uncertain pain and strife.

The day ends badly. It always does. No matter how many times the man in the wheelchair replays it (although when he relives it he can still walk), the day ends with him losing both his legs and the girl he is desperately in love with.

He is even now still desperately in love with her, for despite her death all those year prior, every week he goes through the same complex ritual to relive that one day, in order to find and change that one small detail that will cause the day to have a different ending.

The rest of the week, the man listens to Mocha Lab.
