People are quick to say revival, revival! Real revival is all of US(children of God), truly ready to face repentence, turning away from a life of darkness and not going back getting on one accord selfless, with a hunger to stay in the presence of the Lord and go and continue the work he left us to do with POWER! Yielded by the Holy Spirit.
Revival is an encounter with God the Holy One, disclosed and made known. Revival removes the veil and makes things clear. Revival is stark and absolute, uncovering the nature of man and revealing the glory of God. In the end, it boils down to this: Do we really want God to live in our midst? (From the book From Holy Laughter to Holy Fire)
Our character is what we are in the dark! Our imaginations, our heart meditations, the habits of our bodies that is what God sees. What are you looking like to him? Are you willing to lose the carnality for the sake of gaining all he has to offer?

NOW THEN.(LOL) ABOUT ME:
Some call it Christian Rap, Gospel rap, or Holy Hip Hop. Mizz Reality calls it, ministry through music for Gods Glory. Shanell Henry, a female holy hip hop artist from the Capitol City Lansing, Michigan known as "Mizz Reality" expressed a profound interest in the art of hip-hop at an early age. Back when JJ Fad was supersonic, MC Lyte was lyte as a rock, and Salt n Peppa was pushin it, "Mizz Reality" was making good use of a pen and pad, writing lyrics of her own.
"Mizz Reality" released a secular album in October of 2002, under AZ One Entertainment, an independent record label ran by both her and her husband. "Mizz Reality" received lots of positive feedback, as well as support from the album. However, "Mizz Reality" wasn't keeping it REAL! God had been calling her to serve Him. Using the album as an excuse, "Mizz Reality" was hardening her heart and rebelling against his calling. Shortly after the release of the album, her desire to perform and write had begun to fade. What she once put before God, she gave up and submitted to Him wholeheartedly ready to begin her new life in Christ.
On fire for the Lord, the gift that "Mizz Reality" had put on the shelf began to stir, but this time for the Lord. "Mizz Reality" now knows what her purpose was all along. God has given her lyrics that inspire, convict promote the kingdom.
Mizz Reality released her freshmen album: “For His Glory” in November 2004. Hit singles: I Press, Got Life and Never Forsaken, received airplay in many different states. The song Never Forsaken, which talked about her being fatherless in the natural, yet fathered spiritually received national recognition. She took first place in the semi-finals Chicago region in the 2005 Exalting Him National talent search. Which later moved on to Nashville, Tennessee TBN studio where she placed top four nationwide in the solo competition. The song made the Daywind Recording compilation Exalting Him 05’ distributed nationwide.
Mizz Reality also appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel New Artist Showcase, HHH Awards 08’, History Tour 07’, the Oprah Winfrey pre-show on Valentines day in 06’, Heavyweights Conference 06’, and many other venues from churches, festivals, women’s conventions, youth rallies, public and Christian schools.
Her current album entitled: “Scott Free” is getting national recognition as well. In efforts to promote the gospel and the current album, Mizz Reality recently launched a tour: “Bloodwashed” which appeared around the Midwest area, and over 300 souls came to know the Lord in and through it.
Mizz Reality is a member of MGHHA and UGA. She has opened up for well-known gospel artists such as: Vickie Winans, Yolanda Adams, Canton Jones, Ambassador, 116 Clique, and Ki-Ki Sheard to name a few.
Living her purpose in God, Mizz Reality respectfully aspires to preserve the art of hip-hop for future generations, in a holy way. As an independent artist she continues to press, evangelizing through word, testimony and song reaching out to those who have an ear to hear giving God all the glory, honor and praise. Just keeping it real, enjoying life being a Christian, and being bold about her life in Christ! Seeking Him first and His righteousness!
