Mitote Band

The Mitote Band is a project, which combines original music with oriental elements including voice and percussion. The project’s aim is to create contemporary music that does not lose the human factor. The group plays original, re-arranged and instrumented music, combining contemporary techniques with traditional elements. The band’s repertoire draws on a broad spectrum of musical styles from jazz, blues, r & b and Turkish traditional music to contemporary electronic music. The flexibility of fretless guitar and the human voice, along with traditional instruments, and a variety of rhythmic motives and synthesizer sounds, opens a new window to the meaning of fusion. The specific Turkish aural ornamentations, combined with the emotionality of the Polish musicians make this project unique.
