Born in Haiti, MISTY JEAN started performing at the early age of three with the dance institute of LYNN W. ROUZIER who thought her dance. She started singing at seven. Since then, her passion for music became an obsession. At college «ANGLADE» where she graduated, she was named solist of the choir and became an instant neighborwood celebrity.
In 1998, she took part at «LA SOIREE MAGIQUE DE LA GUITARE» with well known pianist Raoul Denis Jr. and The Widmaier brothers. In 1999, she is chosen by the leading haitian cellular phone company HAITEL to be their main model in a major promotional campaign.
During the month of febuary 2001, she flew to the island of St. Marteen where she represented Haiti among twenty two countries in the election of «MISS WEST INDIES». On febuary 21, she won the contest for best talent and personality and was crowned « MISS WEST INDIES ».
On May 27th of 2001, she sings at the Ritz Kinam at the night entitled «FEMME» of Yole Derose.
You also find her in « CARIBBEAN ESCAPE » of Raoul Denis Jr.
In febuary of 2002, she is crowned «Miss de la Francophonie» in Port-au-Prince.
In march 2003, she performed at « DIVA’S NIGHT » at Gusto’s in Miami Lakes.
On april 13th 2003, she is «QUEEN OF CARNIVAL» at the «GREATER MIAMI MARDI GRAS».
Her first album «PLUS PRES DE TOI» was released in June of 2004. It included such hits as : «Patizan», «Ce Ou Mwen Vle», «Maladie D’amour». Many known artists contributed to this CD: Jack Pina, Jacky Rapon, John Doane, Leila Chicot, Robert & Roberto Martino, Sonia Dersion.
On the fourth of july 2004, she performed live in Miami at the BAYFRONT PARK alongside LIL KIM. In august of 2004, she toured the French Antilles where she performed remarkably for many audiences. In december 2005, she performed at Bataclan in Paris. In november 2004, she was awarded «FEMALE SINGER OF THE YEAR» by «TICKET D’OR» of Ticket Magazine.
In febuary 2006, she performed at Bicentenial Park for the «Greater Miami Mardi Gras».
Her second album entitled « KONPA A GOGO » came out in May 2006. It contains the hit songs: «Konpa A Gogo» Featuring Kaysha, «Car Wash», «Paradi Lanmou», «S’abandonner» Duet with Thierry Cham, «Hear the Tam Tam», «Camionette». We also find the participation of artists such as: Pierre Huberson, Marc Goncalves, Andre Dejean, Thierry Delannay, Laurent Ciceron, Robert Martino, Teeyah, Elie Lapointe, Jean Claude Jean. In november 2006, she was awarded «FEMALE SINGER OF THE YEAR» by «TICKET D’OR». In december 2006, she released her first LIVE album together with her band. In january 2007, she is the host of the Haitian Independence Festival at the Bayfront Park in dowtown Miami.
Her third solo album released in march 2008 contains the following hits: «Kijan Lari A Ye», «Rev Mwen», «Tu pleures», «Vini’m Bo’w», «Li Pa Two Ta», «Vale Fan’m», «Hommage A Ti Manno», «Tam Tam» featuring Puerto Rican rapper Shino. Several talented producers, musicians and artists participated in this project. They are: Ralph Conde, Richard Rouzeau, Roberto Martino, Gerald Kebreau, Nickenson Prud’homme, Harold St. Louis, Robert Martino, Marc Lubin.
In september 2008, she is awarded the trophy of « Best Female Artist » by Opamizik.
In Febuary 2009, she performed on the float of Unitransfer at the Jacmel Carnival in Haiti.
During the same period, she performed at the Concert Chocolat at the prestigious «Parc Historique de la Canne» in Port Au Prince.
On June 25th, 2009, it’s the Grande Premiere of the movie by Mora Etienne Jr. « The Price To Pay » in which she plays the lead actress role in the name « Zoulmie ».
In December 2009, she released her second Live Album together with her band.
She has released five videos that get airplayed regularly: « Kijan Lari a ye », «Tam Tam» featuring SHINO, «Ce Ou Mwen Vle», «Maladie D’amour», «Paradi Lanmou».

Nee en fevrier 1983 en Haiti, MISTY JEAN connaît ses premieres experiences sur scene des l’age de trois ans avec Mme. Lynn W. Rouzier qui lui enseigne la danse. Elle debute dans la chanson a l’age de sept ans dans des concours amateurs de chant. Des lors, sa passion pour la musique ira en s’accroissant. Au college Anglade ou elle fait ses etudes, elle est nommee soliste de la chorale et devient du coup une celebrite du quartier.
En 1998, elle participe a «La Soiree Magique de la Guitare» avec le pianiste tres connu Raoul Denis Jr. et les freres Widmaier. En 1999, elle represente la societe de telephone mobile haitienne «Haitel» qui l’a choisi comme mannequin pour son affiche publicitaire.
Au cours du mois de fevrier 2001, elle s’envole pour l’ile St. Martin ou elle represente Haiti parmi 22 pays participants a l’election de « Miss de la Caraibe». Le 21 fevrier, elle remporte le prix du meilleur talent et de la meilleure personnalite et est couronne «MISS WEST INDIES».
Le 27 mai 2001, au Ritz Kinam a Petion Ville, elle participe a la soiree «Femme» de Yole Derose.
On la retrouve aussi sur l’album « CARIBBEAN ESCAPE » de Raoul Denis Jr.
En fevrier 2002, elle est couronnee « MISS DE LA FRANCOPHONIE » a PORT-AU-PRINCE.
En mars 2003, elle participe a la soiree «Nuit des Divas» a GUSTO’S a Miami Lakes.
Le 13 avril 2003, elle est couronnee reine du carnaval au «GREATER MIAMI MARDI GRAS».
En juin 2004, elle sort son premier album intitule « PLUS PRES DE TOI ». On y retrouve les tubes suivants : «Patizan», «Ce Ou Mwen Vle», «Maladie D’amour». Le 4 juillet 2004, elle chante au Bayfront Park a downtown miami avec la vedette rap americaine LIL KIM. En aout 2004, elle est en tournee en Haiti et aux Antilles Francaises ou elle participe dans de nombreux concerts. En novembre 2004, elle remporte en Haiti le prix «Chanteuse Feminine de l’annee» de Ticket Magazine. En Decembre 2005, elle est invitee au Bataclan.

En fevrier 2009, on la retrouve sur le char de la Unitransfer au carnaval de Jacmel en Haiti et aussi au Parc Historique De La Canne au Concert Chocolat. Le 25 juin 2009, c’est la grande premiere de son premier film dirige par Mora Eienne Jr. intitule « Le Prix A Payer » dans lequel elle joue le role principal de « Zoulmie ».
En decembre 2009, c’est la sortie de son deuxieme album Live.
Elle compte a son actif cinq clips qui sont regulierement diffuses: «Kijan Lari A Ye», «Tam Tam» featuring Shino, «Ce Ou Mwen Vle», «Maladie D’amour», «Paradi Lanmou».
