FROM WORLD WAR II TO 1965, 10 OF MY UNCLES SERVED IN THE MILITARY. THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, WITH THE HELP OF MY UNCLE CHARLIE, PUT FORTH A PROCLAMATION PROCLAIMING THE PATRIOTIC DEED AND NAMING A STREET IN OUR FAMILY NAME. MANY GENERATIONS OF AGUIRRES WERE AT THE UNVEILING CEREMONIES ON THAT BRIGHT SUNNY DAY.

SIDE NOTE: UNCLE CHARLIE PASSED AWAY IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. AT HIS EULOGY, A CITY OFFICIAL WALKED UP TO THE PODIUM AND BEGAN TO SPEAK OF THE EFFORTS MY UNCLE HAD PUT FORTH IN GETTING HE AND THE OTHER BROTHERS RECOGNIZED FOR THIS PATRIOTIC SERVICE. HE CONTINUED BY STATING THAT THE STATE OF MINNESOTA HAS OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED SEPTEMBER 24TH AS "CHARLES AGUIRRE DAY" IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA.

JOE AGUIRRE HAS BEEN A MUSICIAN ALL HIS LIFE. SINCE THE AGE OF 3 YEARS OLD HE HAS BEEN AWARE OF HIS LOVE FOR MUSIC. IN GRADE SCHOOL, HE STARTED TO FORM GROUPS AND CARRIED THIS PRACTICE INTO HIGH SCHOOL, WHERE HE FORMED BANDS WHICH STARTED TO RECEIVE PAY FOR THEIR EFFORTS. AFTER GRADUATION, HE DELVED INTO THE MUSICAL WORLD WITH TOTAL ABANDON. SEEKING OUT THE BEST MUSICIANS IN HIS AREA, AND WORKING WITH SOME OF THE TOP BANDS IN THE STATE, AND GAINING A FOLLOWING. HE STARTED WRITING HIS IMPRESSIONS OF THE CURRENT WAYS OF THE WORLD, AS WELL AS NATIONAL AND LOCAL HAPPENINGS. AFTER A TWO YEAR STINT IN THE SERVICE, HE RETURNED TO THE ONLY WORLD HE HAS EVER KNOWN. JOINING GROUPS AND PICKING UP THE INTERNSHIP HE HAD STARTED BEFORE THE MILITARY HAD HIM DOING OTHER THINGS. HE BEGAN TO WRITE SONGS AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH GREAT FERVOR AND DEPTH. HE CONTINUED TO PERFORM UNTIL THE MID-NINETIES, WHEREIN HE SOLD MOST OF HIS TOURING EQUIPMENT AND SET UP A RECORDING STUDIO IN HIS HOUSE. JOE AGUIRRE WRITES MUSIC IN EIGHT DIFFERENT GENRES, WHICH INCLUDES ROCK, POP, COUNTRY, CLASSICAL, LATIN ROCK AND CHILDREN'S MUSIC. HE NOW HAS A CATALOG OF 100 SONGS WHICH MIGHT BE PLACED ON SALE OR USED BY PERFORMING ARTISTS OR PUBLISHING HOUSES.RECENTLY, ALL THE SONGS HAVE BEEN RE-MASTERED. THAT'S WHY YOU SEE SUCH A LOW NUMBER OF 'PLAYS' ON ALL OF THEM. SO PRESENTLY, YOU ARE HEARING THE 'CREAM OF THE CROP' ON THE PLAYER. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE MUSIC.
