TRULY DIFFERENT
In a day and age where music's popularity can no longer be adequately reflected by album sales, one thing is apparent. The ability to adapt and overcome these trying times is vital to maintaining this art form's existence. The key to this is being a dynamic entity. Whether this means adjusting personal beliefs or expanding on previous ideas, change must come.

CHANGE
Born to a Vietnam veteran and a preacher's daughter, in the outset of Reaganomics, K.I.D. was introduced to the harsh realities of life from the beginning. At birth, Reaganomics had left his entire family to live in a van until stable occupations could be found. This took years. With that said, being on the move and adjusting to different situations had always been a part of this artist's history. A history that is reflected in every record this artist is associated with. In fact, the only thing that this artist has ever known to be constant and unwavering in his life, has been the presence of music. Whether he was dancing to the newly released ''Thriller'' album, or singing along with his parent's favorite Parliament record, he managed to remember the joy on the ''bigger people's'' faces as he danced their problems away.
As K.I.D. grew older, so did his ambition to learn more about the principles of music. This surfaced at the age of 5, where he began learning choir direction, drums, and piano at a local church he attended. From the first chord of the piano, hand gestures of the director, to the last note from the choir, he was fascinated. This began his understanding of the dynamics of a production, where the finished product reflects the amount of work or practice invested. This made him feel comfortable. As with any comfortable situation he's known, turbulence came 1 day before his 6th birthday, in the form of a family accident which began a series of changes. Things became difficult. With his father out of work for an undetermined amount of time, his mother's income unable to keep up with hospital bills, transportation, etc., the reality of being in a van again became clear as day. This gave birth to K.I.D.'s acting career. With a series of extra work on such shows as, ' Amen, Hunter, and Doogie Howser, M.D.(not a complete list)', print work for Toyota and Nissan, and a series of after school specials, he was able to maintain livable conditions at home until his father was back on his feet.
Time went on and so did K.I.D. By 12, he was active in his middle school band, playing trombone, piano, drums, and vocalizing. He was once again comfortable By 13, his environment changed and brought on new challenges. Not really familiar with racism, K.I.D. had run head first into the reality of being a minority. Withdrawn, K.I.D. decided to take his frustrations out on paper. Although this method did not work all of the time, it had it's effect. It eventually developed into poetry and design. This made him somewhat of an outsider. An outsider to a point where he felt as if no one understood the obstacles he faced on a daily basis, until a song came on the radio. It was the chorus from 'Keep ya head up.' At that very moment K.I.D. had realized no matter what the circumstances, there was an artist that had been through similar events. And now, being the son of a veteran, a veteran himself, and a person that has done a great deal in his life, K.I.D. takes his experiences and shares them with whoever, whenever. Whether he's Guest hosting a radio program in Germany, MCing a club party in Switzerland, or Performing a record in Turkey, he always makes sure the crowd leaves with a broader outlook on life and a smile. This goes to show there may be 7 billion people in this world, but there's only one K.I.D. You'll see.
