Born on the island of ARUBA Mista moved to midwest of Dayton,OHIO in the early 80s to later relocate in Holland.In 1988 he formed the hiphop group The Mellow Emcees with Speedy J as their deejay.
They released the Ep "Working Undercover" and
appeared on the Royal Jelly hit album from KING BEE. 1991 Mista signed to Hollands first HipHop label DJAX. In 1992 MISTA worked on the album from the group 24K "Words Yet Unspoken", which at the time was the biggest HipHop act in Holland with the Underground Hit "We Have No Enemies"



At the end of 1993 he teamed up with the dance act "Two Brothers On The 4th Floor". They scored TEN Top10 Hits in Holland and had a NUMBER ONE HIT with Dreams in 1994. They toured the world to exotic places like Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Sweden, Venezuela, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Canada, France and the rest of europe becoming pioneers in what was known as EuroDance.
They recieved gold records for sales of singles and released two albums, and stil perform once in a while nationaly and abroad
.
He started a label CMC/Soulrelation with good friend BRIAN BUSBY in 1995 til 2000. They released original music from E-life ,who scored the labels first HIT with "More Days to Come" charting at NUMBER 5 in the Dutch National Charts, and were very instrumental in JIVE MUSIC releasing E-life's debut album "Eleven", becoming Hollands first HipHop artist and label to sign to JIVE MUSIC. The Double Dutch 12inch series Ft Empress, Alee ,The Proov , and Lee the natural Ft Shy ROCK. Postmen's first release "Docks Document" proving they had a ear for good music!. The Proov's Ep and full album" Traditions"They rewrote HISTORY again with The Proov by shooting the most expensive video ever shot in Holland's music history for the track "Feel The Heat" Ft Colombo. The song was also used to promote the EURO CUP SOCCER held in Amsterdam in 2000. Dj MASS (2 Outta Millions and Select Personal Ft Rescue) which got airplay on Stretch and Bobbito's Show in NY.The much aclaimed "This Is What You Want" cd's series, profiling young and up and coming STARS, and MANY more undergound acts from Holland for years.
He was the co-host of the first National HipHop program on TMF(Dutch M-TV) in 1996 and interviewed many of the biggest stars in hiphop like Coolio, Tha Alkaholics , Old Dirty Bastard (RIP), Notorious BIG(RIP), Dj Muggs(Cypress Hill), Xzibit and Rass Kass, Jungle Bros, Redman,Chuck D, Warren G and the list goes on. The show also gave National Mc's a spot on tv for promotion and a moment to show skils. This was at one point the most watched and talked about HipHip show in Holland every sunday night.
After that succes he had his own radio show on NEW DANCE RADIO AMSTERDAM 'Tha Bomb' where every saturday he entertained the listeners with new joints, interviews, guests and his mix segment 'Back To The Oldschool' becoming the best listened show ever. He later returned to tv to co-host with Leon and Jordan of The ULS on 'The BOX' in its final two seasons, and hosted a radio show with Qbah and Dj Chainsaw the saturday shows on the popular 'Funx' station in Amsterdam.
Now back with 2 Brothers On the 4th floor to embark on the reunion tour its been a busy period for Mista. He's also part of the Belgian jazzy soul house formation Sweetcoffee and has released two singels with the group " Whats Up With That" and U Turn. He worked with the Soul Migrantz and lends his vocals to tracks they produced like Socialize and the club hit Calling Chicago. whats next?
