Miss Tress

Miss Tress was born in South Korea and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. Music and Theatre were a big part of her life at a young age. She used writing and singing as a form of expression, a way to "escape" the stresses of reality. Not until being introduced to the Juggalo Underground did she find her calling.
In early 2000 she met a group of people who would push her into entertainment. She met members of the late Minnesota local record label, Oddballer Records. Members included: Wreckin Krew, KingPin, Jimmy Donn, & Liquid Assassin. Tress then decided to pursue a solo career under Oddballer Records, known as the First Lady at only fourteen years old. Amongst the fast paced hip hop scene in Minnesota, in 2001 Tress met members of the late great Loonatix Productions. Members consisting of Ruthless, and Playaz Lounge Crew. In the crowds she met ill e. gal, an up and coming rapper from Rhode Island. When Oddballer fell though, she put her solo career on the back burner, and formed an all girl rap duo with ill e. gal in 2006 called True High Class. T.H.C. released their debut full length album, "Wings" in 2007. The girls won the Twin Cities Music Award for the 'First Ladies of Hip Hop' two years in a row. True High Class has played shows all over the country, opening for Tech N9ne in Minneapolis, MN and performing at the Marijuana Music Awards in Brooklyn, NY.
Miss Tress has now returned as an independent solo musician. She has teamed up with some of the best in Minnesota, and has a home recording studio. Tress is currently working on a solo full length album due to release in the near future.
Her sound is certainly all her own, its described as 'aggressive alternative hip hop'. Although Miss Tress mixes some punk rock with rap and R&B she tries her best to stay true to hip hop. Her lyrics tell it like it is, and she is not afraid to say what she feels. She has a presence on stage like no other, and she will continue to grow as a performer, writer, singer, rapper, producer, and engineer. Tress has acquired a fast growing nationwide fan base, and continues to use her promotion skills to go to the top. Like she says."It's a never ending fight to be heard. I will be heard."
