Misja Helsloot

Misja Helsloot, born 21-1-1973 in the Netherlands, kickstarts his career with the mixing of In Trance We Trust 001 on Black Hole Recordings in september 1998. In 1999 he starts his own sublabel called C4 and that same year Misja is proud to release his first CD on this label: The Creation - Day One. In 2000, Day Two sees the light. In the ITWT series Misja also does edition 007 and he is responsible for part 10 and 11 (double cd) in another renowned trance series: Forbidden Paradise. After releasing some remixes in cooperation with other producers, his solo production debut is his track First Second. Released on his own Gesture Music label in 2002 and reaching Paul van Dyk’s Essential Mix … not bad for a debut at all. More remixes are done, Misja has the honours to record the Impulz themesong A Different World, and he comes up with the highly successful track Back from your past, featuring Shane54. DJ bookings bring Misja around the globe: from Miami to London, from the Zürich Streetparade to Nature One in Germany, from Russia to Australia, and back home to major gigs such as Impulz, Qontact, Dance Valley, the FFWD Dance Parade in Rotterdam, and opening the Mainstage at Trance Energy.



After his radio-shows in the past, the weekly First Sessions on www.etn.fm and the monthly True To Trance show on www.di.fm, Misja now has a residency on Vonyc Radio. Misja hosts the 3 hour show Creative Sessions, as an extension of his Create parties (two editions organised in 2006). And every three months The Airborn Residency takes off, literally, Misja’s exclusive broadcast on all flights of Dutch airline Transavia. The sky is no limit.



Recently, Misja is working hard on an artist album together with his production partner Jazper. Both also produce under the name Traction Control. A third edition of Create is in preparation, as well as finishing the CD series The Creation. Releases, bookings, parties… it’s the Helsloot hustle & bustle. Get ready for a lot more of Misja!
