At first glance, many will see a thugged out illegitimate male who merely "fits the description", but place the name BOLO with the face and you will immediately evoke a wide eyed response from adoring fans. With the charm of a prince and personality as smooth a fine silk, it is evident that there is more than meets the eye.

Born Timothy Mingo in Tampa, FL, Bolo has always been in an environment of music. Having a family with much musical talent, Bolo found music to be intriguing and decided at an early age that the music industry held his destiny. His mother, Shirley Mingo, who also was a talented singer, and father Ernest Mingo recognized Bolo's musical abilities at an early age and encouraged him in is pursuit of music, but only after placing school first.

After completing high school, Bolo decided that he would please his mother by attending college and also pursuing his love for music. With his determination and very little money in his pocket, Bolo left the only city he has ever known and moved to Alabama, where he enrolled at Stillman College. In addition to his studies, Bolo operated a full studio in his two bedroom apartment, with his closet acting as a recording booth. He began making tracks and recording people in the neighborhood and developed a major fan base through the state of Alabama. Just as his stardom was beginning to rise, tragedy struck.

All too early, Bolo's mother passed away. When Bolo's mother passed it was the biggest devastation he had ever experienced. Bolo sadly recalls, "I felt like my world came crashing down. The one woman who believed in me and supported me and loved me unconditionally was gone."

In an effort to move past this tragedy, Bolo moved back to Tampa, FL, where he developed a more extensive fan base. With music productions ranging from southern hip hop to northern hip hop and west coast tracks to smooth R&B tracks, it was inevitable that this is where he would finally get his big break. After a brief encounter with Tarpon Springs rapper, 2Pistols, Bolo was officially placed on the map, with the production of the original “She Got It” song, featuring mega star, T-Pain.

Realizing that he could expand marketability in another area, Bolo decided to move to Atlanta, GA. In a mere 12 months of moving to Atlanta, Bolo was able to meet up with two of his biggest music influences, Polow Da Don and Mannie Fresh. It was then that he realized his talent could take him to new heights.

Since he began producing tracks in his small Alabama apartment in 2001, Bolo has worked with a variety of artists including 2Pistols, T-Pain, Tay Diszm, Flo Rida, Jezzy, Blood Raw, Slick Pulla, Young Bloodz, Tom G, BAMA, Rasheeda, Shop Boyz, J Saleeb, Rich Boy, Young Joc, Hot Styles, Franchize Boyz, Sky, Jason Weaver and many more.

Although Bolo is extremely talented, Bolo will always remain open minded and willing to learn new methods to improve his skills. In an effort to give back to the community, Bolo hosts various seminars at schools such as Clark Atlanta University, hoping to influence others.

What sets Bolo apart from other producers is his ability to bring liveliness and flash to any artists' story. He is an artists' dream by consistently delivering a sound that with immediately capture even the most uninterested person's attention.
