Milli Millz

Milli Millz was originally born in Barbados, however today his home town is known as Montreal. At age fourteen Millz was freestyling and battling anyone who would take on the challenge. By the time he turned 17, local rap artist “Justice” of Northern Lights, offered him an opportunity to demonstrate his lyrical talents by working behind the scenes, writing verses and laying down vocals on three respected Northern Lights mixtapes. The buzz quickly caught on around the city as to where this new young rapper came from and who he was. Millz has gone from the streets to the studio with momentum that cannot be stopped.



This young Canadian is ready to spit jet fuel back into the engines of hip-hop. Those who see Millz at work know that rap and the art of rhyming and flow is obviously a natural gift that he possesses. Not only is he versatile is so many ways but he is a punch line machine. Although he had never lost a freestyle battle, and could bless a track with an undeniable hot 16, he would soon realize something that would forever change the motion of his career. Writing for radio while attempting to target all kinds of hip-hop listeners was his next goal that he planned to conquer. Shortly after the song "Paperboi" was born and it was a total success. "Paperboi" received great praise, received approximately thirty-five thousand plays on Myspace with absolutely no professional promotion and won the battle of the tracks contest on local radio station k103.7, which stayed on regular rotation for quite some time after. This created a steady buzz that stretched its way as far as New York. While Paperboi did well in every aspect, doors began to open in other directions. He then worked with artists such as 40 cal, J.R Writer, J bezzle and J Hood, as well as opened up for a handful of well known artists, an example being Lloyd Banks and the G-Unit crew.



To compose one sentence that describes Milli Millz, the word versatility would be at the forefront of the description. With a deep understanding of many aspects of life and having been in many different environments he truly caters to all. Over time many indie labels have approached Millz with hopes to add his talent to their roster; however he felt he still had things he wanted to do and discover about himself as an artist. The offers were always somewhat there but Millz never wanted to sign his name to any contract unless his instincts gave him the right feeling to do so. Now in his stronger stages of development Milli Millz has chosen to team up with a new and upcoming independent record label and artist agency OTB Music Group as well as personal music manager Kris Chase. Millz and his surrounding circle of supporters seem to naturally sync up as today you can find an even stronger team behind him proudly standing as an irrefutable force of strength and passion paving a road for him to succeed on. He is currently working on a mixtape called "HIGHWAY TO MILLZ" which is highly anticipated to be one of the better street albums the city has ever seen. Kevin Catin, founder of OTB Music Group, says “You can expect to hear all original tracks that are geared to remain timeless. People should also prepare themselves to see a well picked feature(s) on the tape. People have been asking for Millz to release something for years and it's finally being done”. Very recently Millz also released two promotional projects for everyone to sit on until the tape drops. He has always said that his biggest influence has been life itself in general. Every day is a new obstacle to overcome and the uncertainty of what could happen to us from day to day has been a striving force behind his attitude and outlook on life as well as his approach to his career. "Each day presents itself with a new way of looking at things, a new beginning to a future that lays ahead, because everyday day we are offered the opportunity to learn something new. I hope to accomplish what I’ve been striving for ever since a child, success!" Milli says with determination in his eyes.
