COOL J to THE D.O.C.He was freestyling by the time he hit junior high.Then known as a battle rapper by the time he was a freshman in high school.As a matter of fact in his four years of high school he never lost a battle,an there were many battles in school halls,house party's an at lowrider car club b-b-q's.He also faded himself up and about 15 to 20 other clients through junior high an high school on weekly basis.That's how he got his nick name "BARBER".As soon as he graduated high school with a pair of clippers in one hand and a pen in the other,he decided to put down the clippers and and get busy with the music.He started writing and recording songs to instrumentals from biggie,nas,method man,an many other artists.MIKEY BARBER then met up with family friend (JOEY T.)who was making beats.They decided to start an independent record label with a third party(rushya 747)and named it M.Y.M. RECORDS which stands for MEET YOUR MAKER.Then with a c.d. full of JOEY T. beats MIKEY BARBER hit the studio an recorded a full length album.Althuogh "THA BARBER" felt it was good but not good enough.It was more of a learning experience an he wasn't ready to show case his work yet.Leaving those recordings behind he started working on what would be his debut album titled in quoets "don't let me get famous".Which he put out in 2004 and is considered a classic to many people today.After selling a couple thousand units out the trunk and promoting for a whole year ,it was time to get back in to the studio.Again working with the king of the beats JOEY T.,"MIKEY BARBER" came through again with another classic album EXHIBITION OF GAME in 2006.The album has hit singles like BUTTERFLY'S feat.fabian that got a lot love an support on the radio.He is still promoting an pushing EXHIBITION OF GAME an recording a soon to be classic material mixtape like no other called THA VOICE OF THA VALLEY.This mixtape is going to raise the bar on the westcoast music scene.THA VOICE OF THA VALLEY will be available april 08.MIKEY BARBER puts his heart and soul into his music,rapping about how hard it is growing up in a broken home and how the only one that was there for him was his radio,and as well as good times.Do not sleep on MIKEY BARBER please,cause he's next to blow.godbless.MAKE SURE YOU ADD THIS PROFILE,an enjoy the music
