An Indianapolis native and LA
resident, up-and-coming pop-rocker Michael Luginbill
may very well have five stars next to his name on your
iPod. If he doesn’t, his soulful tenor voice,
talented songwriting, and comfort boards and
guitar should make you think otherwise.
With influences such as Lewis Taylor, Steely Dan,
Michael McDonald, and Prince, Luginbill’s smooth blend
of soul-infused adult-contemporary pop could be the
ideal soundtrack to a late-night drive in New York
City – or perhaps the romantic rendez-vous that lies
in wait. With such radio-friendly tracks as “In My
Head,” “Dreaming in Blue,” and “I Don’t Care” from his
self-titled independent 2006 release in tow, Luginbill
is well on his way to catching the ears of
sophisticated, in-the-know audiences and record
executives alike. He has performed with The
Temptations, The Spin Doctors, and Corey Smith among
many others.
Currently recording his forthcoming
sophomore independent release, he can be seen performing
in Southern California and throughout the Midwest.
