I've had a great and busy career so far, I'm a drummer/singer/songwriter and actor, and my career I suppose really began at the age of five when I learned to play the drums, taught by my grandfather. Then at the age of eight I joined a stage school to pursue the entertainment business. I also studied at the Barking and Essex College of Music, studying music theory, drums and percussion, as well as playing in the Essex Jazz Band. My first stage appearance was at the London Palladium playing Boy Babe in “Babes in The Wood” with Edward Woodward and Derek Nimmo.

This all led me to my first group called “The Young Revival”, and at the age of ten I made my first television appearance on Blue Peter. Around the same time I performed in cabaret at the London Hilton and the Café Royal. Whilst performing at the popular Civic Theatre, Bow in a charity show Roger Price, a Thames TV producer spotted “The Young Revival”, and signed them up . The group’s name was then changed to Flintlock.

With Flintlock I went on to have five very busy years, which included spots on many TV shows and series, which included “You Must Joking”, “Fanfare”, “Pauline’s Quirkes” and “Top Of The Pops”. Flintlock made five albums, had two hit records, performed some 300 or so concerts all over England with the likes of Showaddywaddy and Guys and Dolls, as well as achieving notable success in Japan and Germany. It was at the time that I was chosen to star in ITV’s “The Tomorrow People” I made my first appearance in “The Tomorrow People” as Mike Bell in the season four opener “One Law” broadcast on British TV on 28th January, 1976. I remained with the series until its last episode broadcast on 19th February 1979, in the season eight sories “War Of The Empires”. It was during my time in The Tomorrow People that I was delighted to win the TV Times Personality of the Year Award in 1976.

After five great years Flintlock disbanded, and I pursued a solo career taking singing lessons with Ian Adams.

Summer shows with Jim Davidson and the Dooleys followed, as well as pantomimes helping me to gain confidence as solo artist. I appeared in title roles in “Aladdin” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” and played the Prince in “Snow White” and “Cinderella”, and Dick in “Dick Whittington” with Harry H Corbett (of Steptoe fame) and again as Dick with The Grumbleweeds, Norman Collier and Shelley Preston of Bucks Fizz
