After several years, in which she have created within different frameworks and with various ensembles, one of Israel's unique and captivating voices out into the world. Singer-songwriter and a guitarist who creates a magical world of sounds and spheres. Since being marked at the age of 7 as a great promise due to her vocal abilities, she has been moving forward rapidly. Michal acquired formal (Rimon and Hed colleges) and independent musical education from Israel's finest teachers. Being a rabbi of experience in directing, acting and composing for the theatre, she adds a certain flare to her charismatic appearance. Her works and performances possess an ancient magic, which corresponds with proud Jazz divas such as Nina Simone and Billie Holiday, Folk legends such as Joni Mitchell, Joann Baez, etc. This mix creates a unique style that can be named as Diva - Folk. In 2006, she's released the self-produced debut EP, Roses and Wine, including three songs. After leading with her voice the ensembles "Ahaimisa" from New Zealand, "Small Talk", the Samba act "Alma Calma", the super group " six happy players ", and have been performing at great and important festivals around the country (InDnegev, Folkale) and abroad, Lotan is out with a full band performance and a new album, self entitled "michal lotan"
