CAREER MILESTONES: 1986 - Michael Jay's song "Hot Summer Nights" is recorded by Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine for the soundtrack to the hit Tom Cruise movie "TOP GUN" and sells over 10-million copies. 1989 - Michael Jay discovers, develops, produces and writes the songs for teen singer MARTIKA's debut album, including the worldwide number 1 hit single "Toy Soldiers" which sells over 3-million copies. 1996 - Michael Jay's song "Declaration Of Love" is recorded by CELINE DION for her album "Falling Into You" which wins the Grammy Award for Best Album Of The Year, and sells over 31-million copies. 2004 - Rap superstar EMINEM records a new version of Michael Jay's "Toy Soldiers" for his album "Encore," which was also included on EMINEM's Greatest Hits CD "Curtain Call" in 2005, and again in 2007 on EMINEM's "Live From New York City" which, in total, has sold more than 10-million copies. 2008 - NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK release Greatest Hits CD which includes Michael Jay's song "The Right Combination". 2010 - Michael Jay's song "Overload" (performed by Kat Danson) is used in the Season 6 Premiere of MTV's "THE HILLS".
