Hey everybody whats up!



Thanks for checking out Miami, a melodic progressive indipendant band out of Whitby, ON. Miami is currently recording an album at MetalWorks studio in mississauga through Noel and his team Crossover Media. We are starting our Metalworks recordings in May and will update you with the progress of the CD as we work on it. We love to play music, shows and meet new people who can dig the sound or who love music like we do.



A little about the band



Miami has three members, Laila Darwish, Tony Ranalli, and Greg Walsh, who have been in Miami for 3 years. The band started in 2004 with Laila and Tony writing acoustic songs for the (S.A.S.S.) Student Alliance of Singers and Songwriters through their school, Henry Street High. Miami began seriously writing and playing shows in Bowmanville at the Expresso Legatto Cafe, the Bowmanville firehouse, the Markham Rodeo, the buskerfest in bowmanville, Canada Day in Oshawa, and various other events. In 2005 Miami was invited to the MetalWorks recording studio and institute of sound to participate in a songwriting workshop with Canadian Music Industry members. After that experience Miami was taken under the wing of Crossover media and are are currently recording their debut CD. Miami has had a recent article in Scholastic Magazene and were featured on Rogers TV's Daytime. Expect big things from this up and coming band with more and more support coming in from all over the map Miami is coming to a stage near you soon!
