ILL-LIFE is a songwriter, rapper, producer, beatmaker, musical engineer and CEO of his indie label 2-SET Records. He is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. ILL-LIFE began rapping at age 11, and producing at age 20. He is now ready to be a major player in the exploding DMV music scene. Ask him his weapons of choice; MPC2000xl, Triton, and Pro-Tools. In between May and June of 2007, ILL-LIFE'S song "Sexxxshual Muzzick" went number 1, 9 weeks in a row on 5 Dutch radio charts out in Europe. 118 songs recorded, an album released in January '07, "THA LEGEND", the "L.I.F.E. The Prequel Vol. 1" Mixtape out now on datpiff.com, the "L.I.F.E. The Prequel Vol. 2" Mixtape mixed by DJ Ykcor of the Coast 2 Coast Mixtape dj's and hosted by Wordsmith coming 1.11.11, the full-length sophmore release "L.I.F.E." album coming 2011, and numerous Coast 2 Coast Mixtape features, the future looks bright for ILL-LIFE. ILL-LIFE will be and does perform live shows in the DMV and B-More areas; stay tuned! With global recognition and a keen ear for quality music, he is a quintessential one man band/army.
