Members of Marvelas

In 2002 Planet Marvelas sees its first light after a clash between five jazz/rock musicians and two emcees. A sound is created, a mixture that, during 5 years of live performances in clubs as well as big festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands (Couleur Café, Feest In ’t Park, Cactus Festival, Parkpop the Hague,…), only becomes more promising and convincing.



In april 2006 they proudly present their debut ‘Members of Marvelas’. The press is stunned: (RifRaf: “Simply a great debut from our own little country, one to be proud of”) and also live the Members seem to be very convincing. (De Morgen about Cactus Festival: “Live on stage, the Members of Marvelas seem to be an exciting and striking bunch that gives one audio uppercut after the other. A promising septet of which we will hear much more!)



2008 brings a new creation. ‘The Tuxedo Theory’ is a bit more adventurous and at the same time more personal than their previous piece. Starting from experiment, a landscape arises in which everyone claims his own spot again. Respect your own taste and combine it with those of others. Think of the self-conceit of Zappa with a tight Roots Manuva groove and the energy of the Beastie Boys. Order and chaos, but a lot of love for chaos!
