MELON BOY

"Melon Boy" was born in a little village by the sea near Valencia , in Spain.

From an early age he was surrounded by performers and dedicated musicians.



When he was 4 years old he entered the Conservatory studying piano, but later gave it up.



Some years later, he taught himself guitar and began to sing, and when he was 15 became interested in

rock & roll bands of the 60´s 70´s.



He got interested in American roots music after meeting "Henry Mackenzie", who tought him some slide guitar and blues techniques.



His first band as guitarist-singer was "The Second Hand Store" with hippy, rock & roll and psychedelic influences.

They recorded some demos and did gigs in differents cities around Spain during the band´s 6-year existence.



At the same time he also composed for other bands like "Sassy Pussy" (grunge) and "Belfast" (pop-rock).



After the break up of "The Second Hand Store", he studied to be a sound technician and recording engineer.



He did some acoustic gigs in various venues using his own material and including some cover versions.



At the moment he is composing music for piano and guitar and also developing his carrer as a solo acoustic artiste.



His musical influences includes a whole range of musical styles too numerous to mention.
